LMS Training Programmes

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW – PART 1: INTRODUCTION

Wisdom Bible University, SA (WBU-SA) provides practical in-house Tutor LMS training for lecturers, instructors, examiners and authorised administrative staff.

The programme equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to use Tutor LMS effectively, securely and responsibly.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW – PART 2: PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme prepares participants to access and navigate Tutor LMS, enrol in and complete online courses, understand instructor responsibilities, use authorised roles, protect passwords and confidential learner information, and support online teaching and learning.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW – PART 3: PRACTICAL SKILLS COVERED

Participants learn to create and organise courses, upload materials, prepare assignments and quizzes, review and grade submissions, provide feedback, monitor participation, produce progress reports and support other lecturers.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW – PART 4: TRAINING APPROACH AND DURATION

The Tutor LMS Training Programme is conducted over four weeks through guided materials, demonstrations, activities, quizzes, assignments and progress monitoring.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW – PART 5: EXPECTED OUTCOME AND CERTIFICATION

Successful participants should be able to use Tutor LMS confidently, accurately and responsibly and may qualify for a Certificate of Proficiency in the Use of Tutor LMS.

Part 1: LMS Access, Navigation and Course Creation

Training notes, illustrated guides, dashboard navigation, course creation and resource-uploading instructions.

Part 2

Assignment and quiz creation, grading, feedback, progress monitoring, security and practical activities.

Part 3: Learner Management and Communication

Participants practise enrolling and managing learners, viewing class lists, publishing announcements and providing academic support.

Part 4: Assessments, Grading and Feedback

Participants learn to create assessments, set deadlines and pass marks, review submissions, allocate marks and provide feedback.

Part 5: Progress Monitoring, Reporting and Quality Assurance

Participants learn to monitor participation, review progress, prepare reports and maintain academic standards.

Part 6: Security, Final Practical Assessment and Certification

This part covers permissions, protection of information, academic records, final course-development activities and practical LMS competence.

ASSESSMENT OVERVIEW

Assessment forms an important part of the Tutor LMS Training Programme. It measures whether each participant understands the learning materials and can apply the required skills practically within the system.

Participants may be assessed through quizzes, assignments, practical demonstrations, uploaded screenshots, course activities and completion of prescribed lessons. Each assessment must be completed through the participant’s personal Tutor LMS account.

HOW ASSESSMENTS ARE COMPLETED

Participants must log in to their individual Tutor LMS accounts and open the relevant course, lesson, quiz or assignment.

They must carefully follow the instructions, complete the required activity and submit their work through the system. Where practical evidence is required, participants may be instructed to upload screenshots or other supporting documents.

HOW MARKS ARE AWARDED

Objective assessments, such as multiple-choice quizzes, may be marked automatically by Tutor LMS according to the correct answers entered into the system.

Practical assignments and written responses are reviewed by an authorised instructor or examiner using the stated assessment instructions and marking criteria.

FAIRNESS AND PREVENTION OF PARTIALITY

The assessment process is designed to promote fairness, consistency and accountability. Every participant is assessed according to the same course requirements and marking criteria.

FEEDBACK AND ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE

Participants may receive feedback explaining what they completed successfully and which requirements remain outstanding.

When permitted, a participant may submit additional evidence, correct incomplete work or repeat an activity. Any additional marks awarded must be based on the new evidence submitted and recorded.

CERTIFICATES – PART 1: CERTIFICATE AWARD

Participants who successfully complete the four-week Tutor LMS Training Programme may qualify for a Certificate of Proficiency in the Use of Tutor LMS issued by Wisdom Bible University, SA.

CERTIFICATES – PART 2: COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must complete all compulsory learning materials, practical activities, quizzes and assignments, submit satisfactory evidence, achieve the required pass mark, use Tutor LMS responsibly and have a verified final completion status.

CERTIFICATES – PART 3: VERIFICATION OF RESULTS

Results and completion records may be verified through lessons completed, quiz scores, assignments, practical activities, supporting evidence, feedback, corrections and final progress percentage.

CERTIFICATES – PART 4: CERTIFICATE APPROVAL AND ISSUANCE

After successful verification, the participant’s name will be submitted to the authorised University office for approval. Certificates may be issued electronically, in printed form, or in both formats.

CERTIFICATES – PART 5: IMPORTANT CERTIFICATE CONDITIONS

Certificates are issued only to participants who have genuinely satisfied the programme requirements. A certificate may be withheld where activities are incomplete, evidence cannot be verified, work belongs to another person, information is incorrect, or there is evidence of academic dishonesty or misuse of the system.

Any error in a participant’s name or personal details must be reported before the certificate is prepared. Certificates remain the property of Wisdom Bible University, SA and may be withdrawn if obtained through false or misleading information.
